Media: PrismaColor Coloured pencils on Stratmore Drawing paper 14'x17' Time Spent: 20-25 hours (over the course of one month) Optional Question: What feelings and/or thoughts does this piece evoke in your mind?
Started off just as a basic sketch of a face, wasn't really aiming for anything in particular and it just developed into this surrealistic/psychedelic/subconscious/co lorful piece of work. I am quite pleased with it! I will be adding a deep dark blue backround but I just wanted to submit this for now. Still unsure about the title, I may change it in the near future. Suggestions on titles are welcome.
Other version of this piece is here "Carnaval De Mi Subconsciencia": [link]
i think its a very nice work and the title fits it pretty well if you would ask me. also i am very impressed by how you use the color pencils. im usually very bad with them. its a very beautiful piece. way to go!
I absolutely love the use of eyes and of all the very bright colors. I also like the way the hand is holding the head and how it seems to be dripping liquid. Very nice. As for thoughts on it, I'm not sure, let me stare at it for a while when my brain isn't fried form my studies and I'll let you know.
i love it ! when i first saw it i thought : it does look like her , its so cool .
i reallly like it.. because it's a ... slow... i dont know how to say... but ..... you really see every little part of it slowly.. you need to look at it longer then most of some drawing here !
Wow, that must've taken forever. I really like the bold colors, and the way it flows and melds into different forms is really amazing. Really interesting work.
There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
